NHL salary cap to increase to $75M in 2017-18 season

The NHL and its players association jointly announced the upper and lower limits for team payroll for the 2017-18 season on Sunday.

Teams must spend a minimum of $55.4 million on player salaries with the cap being $75 million. The adjusted midpoint is $65.2 million.

This past season, the salary cap grew to $73 million from the $69 million it was for the 2014-15 season.
