March 8 (UPI) -- VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Tomas Plekanec missed his first game in almost three years when he did not dress for the Montreal Canadiens in their game against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night due to an upper-body injury.

The injury ended Plekanec's streak of 236 consecutive games dating back to March 29, 2014.

Plekanec has seven goals and 17 assists in 66 games for the Canadiens this year. But the 34-year-old center from Kladno, Czech Republic, has not scored in 17 games.
