St. Louis Blues re-sign Patrik Berglund to 5-year, $19.25M deal

The St. Louis Blues agreed on a five-year, $19.25 million contract extension with center Patrik Berglund, the team announced Friday.

Berglund, 28, was slated to become an unrestricted free agent after the season. His new deal extends through the 2021-22 season.

Berglund has spent his entire nine-year career with St. Louis.

He ranks second on the Blues with 17 goals this season. Berglund's career-best total of 22 occurred during the 2010-11 season.

Berglund has recorded 145 goals and 141 assists in 615 regular-season games with St. Louis.
