Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber's mom doesn't like Chris Pronger. And she likes everyone.

That was confirmed Saturday, when the pop star ate the glass at the Staples Center during the NHL Celebrity All-Star Game. Bieber was skating as part of Team Gretzky. Despite scoring an empty-net goal and dishing an assist, most fans will remember Bieber taking his big hit best.

During the contest, Bieber was skating near the goal, when he found former enforcer Chris Pronger. Pronger, who last played during the 2011 season, sent Bieber airborne with a one-handed shove, before crushing him up against the glass. He stayed their smashed for several seconds before Pronger, 42, showed some mercy.

"This is one of the highlights of my life. For real," Bieber told NHL.com.

The NHL's department of Player Safety hired Pronger in 2014. The five-time All-Star won the Hart Memorial Trophy and the James Norris Trophy in 1999. He won the 2007 Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks. Pronger was inducted in 2015 into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Bieber's team included Patrick Kane, Eric Lindros, Nicklas Lidstrom, Joe Sakic, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jerry Bruckheimer, and Michael Rosenbaum.
