Toronto Maple Leafs claim Seth Griffith

Jan. 21 (UPI) -- For the second time this season, the Toronto Maple Leafs claimed Seth Griffith.

The Leafs waived the 24-year-old center on Nov. 11 after only three games. The team originally plucked him off of waivers on Oct. 11 from the Boston Bruins.

Griffith reported directly to the AHL Toronto Marlies this time around. He has six goals and 10 assists in 58 career games. Griffith had five assists this season for the Florida Panthers. The Panthers picked him up on Nov. 12, after the Panthers placed him on waivers.

He picked up his first goal Saturday night with a secondary assist in the Marlies' 4-3 loss to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
