Pekka Rinne, Nikita Kucherov, Connor McDavid named NHL's Three Stars

Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne, Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Kucherov and Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid were named the NHL's Three Stars for the month of November, the league announced Thursday.

Rinne posted a 9-1-2 mark and 1.49 goals-against in 12 appearances last month to help the Predators elevate in the Central Division. The 34-year-old Finn yielded two goals or fewer in 10 of his 12 contests, highlighted by a 27-save performance in a shutout against Anaheim on Nov. 12.

Kucherov recorded 10 goals and 18 points in 15 games last month for the Lightning, who posted an 8-6-1 mark. The 23-year-old Russian notched five multi-point performances, highlighted by a two-goal, two-assist effort against the New York Islanders on Nov. 1.

McDavid collected 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 15 games for the Oilers, who limped to a 5-8-2 mark last month. The 19-year-old Ontario native recorded his first career hat trick against Dallas on Nov. 19 as one of his five multi-point performances last month.
