Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, whom some experts project as a Top-5 pick, declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, his agency announced Tuesday.
The junior defensive lineman totaled a career-high 45 combined tackles, including seven for a loss, in addition to 3.5 sacks through 12 games for the Wolverines. He registered 108 combined tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and nine sacks through 39 career appearances for the Wolverines.
Agent Ryan Matha of Rosenhaus Sports told the Detroit Free Press that Graham also will not play in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl, when the Wolverines battle the Alabama Crimson Tide on Dec. 31 in Jacksonville, Fla.
"Mason is one of the truly elite prospects available in this year's draft," Matha said.
Graham, who is listed at 6-foot-3, 320 pounds, received Pro Football Focus' second-best defensive grade among interior defenders in 2024. He was the top-rated run defender at the position.
He joins quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver-cornerback Travis Hunter inside the Top 10, sometimes listed as high as a Top-3 pick, in many mock drafts. He also has drawn comparisons to Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and former Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald.
"We expect Mason to get drafted in the top five picks," agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN.
The 2025 NFL Draft will be held from April 24 to 26 in Green Bay, Wis.
The Raiders (2-11), New York Giants (2-11), New England Patriots (3-10), Carolina Panthers (3-10), Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10), Tennessee Titans (3-10), New York Jets (3-10) and Cleveland Browns (3-10) are among the teams currently in position for Top-10 selections.
Teams could move up in the selection order by losing more games over the final stretch of the NFL regular season.
