Sept. 3 (UPI) -- All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams ended his holdout and is finalizing a new contract with the San Francisco 49ers, his agency Elite Loyalty Sports, announced Tuesday.

Williams, 36, started 58 games over the last four seasons for the 49ers. He entered the league as the No. 4 overall pick by Washington in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Williams received the second-best offensive rating among tackles last season, according to Pro Football Focus, trailing only Penei Sewell of the Detroit Lions. He was the No. 1 tackle in 2022, 2021 and 2020.

The 49ers signed the veteran offensive lineman to a six-year, $138 million contract extension in 2021. That pact included a $30.1 million signing bonus and more than $55 million in totaled guarantees.

He will be fined more than $5.3 million for missing training camp and the 49ers' three preseason games due to his contract holdout.

The 49ers will host the New York Jets in their season opener at 8:15 p.m. EDT Monday in Santa Clara, Calif.
