Oct. 1 (UPI) -- The Tennessee Titans will be without star wide receivers Julio Jones and A.J. Brown for Sunday's game against the New York Jets, the team announced Friday.

Both Jones and Brown suffered hamstring injuries during the Titans' 25-16 win over the division rival Indianapolis Colts last week. Brown played just eight snaps before exiting the matchup, while Jones was ruled out late in the third quarter.

Neither of the receivers practiced this week.

Second-year wideout Nick Westbrook-Ikhine could receive more snaps without Brown and Jones in the lineup. Free-agent acquisition Josh Reynolds was inactive last week, but he is expected to get an opportunity against the Jets.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel also ruled out outside linebacker Bud Dupree this week because of a knee injury. The veteran defender was active last week against the Colts but didn't play a snap.

Dupree sustained a torn ACL in December while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He attempted to play on the injured knee in the Titans' first two games, but he has had issues with the recovery process. He failed to practice this week.

"Bud will be out, so I think that pretty much tells you," Vrabel told reporters when asked if Dupree has experienced any setbacks. "He won't be available for the game. Like a lot of injuries, there's things you work through. ... All I know is Bud comes into work every morning with a great attitude to learn, and to try and get himself ready to play."

The Titans currently have just three outside linebackers -- Ola Adeniyi, Sharif Finch and Harold Landry III -- on their 53-man roster. The team signed Finch to the practice squad earlier this week and promoted him to the active roster Friday.

Vrabel also ruled out punter Brett Kern (groin), cornerback Caleb Farley (shoulder) and defensive lineman Larrell Murchison (elbow) for Sunday's matchup against the Jets.
