Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray top my Week 3 fantasy football quarterback rankings for 2021.

Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers round out my top 5 options for Week 3. Justin Herbert, Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins and Dak Prescott also land in my top 10.

Daniel Jones, Justin Fields and Jimmy Garoppolo are among the quarterbacks I would consider starting this week if you are weak at the position.

Tyrod Taylor, Carson Wentz, Andy Dalton and Tua Tagovailoa are among the quarterbacks who should be benched due to Week 2 injuries.

Here are some of my favorite players in this week's top 20 quarterback rankings:

TOP SHELF

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson ranks third in the NFL in rushing yards and is the sixth-highest scoring fantasy football player at his position.

Last week, Jackson threw for 239 yards and one score and ran for 107 yards and two scores. He should produce another elite performance in Week 3, when the Ravens face the Detroit Lions.

The Lions allowed the most passing touchdowns and fantasy points to quarterbacks last season. They are tied for the third-most passing touchdowns allowed (six) through two games in 2021.

Look for Jackson to throw at least two passing scores and rush for at least 80 yards and another score in this matchup. He is my top quarterback for Week 3.

Kyler Murray is the top fantasy football quarterback through two weeks. The Arizona Cardinals star threw three passing touchdowns and ran for another score in Week 2. He threw four passing touchdowns and ran for another in Week 1.

Murray should produce similar statistics in Week 3, when the Cardinals battle the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks last season. They allowed 328 passing yards and two scores to Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in Week 2.

Murray is my No. 2 option.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers is my No. 6 quarterback for Week 3. Herbert threw for more than 335 yards in each of his first two starts this season, but totaled just two touchdown tosses.

I expect him to throw at least three touchdown passes in Week 3, when the Chargers face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks through the first two games. This game could be a shootout, with Herbert battling Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was one of my favorite waiver wire additions earlier this week. He can be streamed at quarterback if you are in a league with at least 14 teams and are desperate at the position.

Jones sits at No. 12 in my Week 3 rankings. The Giants host the Atlanta Falcons, who allowed the most passing yards and second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in 2020.

The Falcons also allowed the most passing touchdowns (eight) and fantasy points to the position through two weeks this season.

Jones can provide value as a runner and a passer. He ranks ninth among quarterbacks in fantasy points in 2021. He should post at least 80 rushing yards and two passing scores in this great matchup.

LONGSHOTS

Justin Fields will make his first career start for the Chicago Bears in Week 3 due to the knee injury starter Andy Dalton sustained in Week 2.

Fields is another player who provides value as a runner and a passer, but should only be in your lineup if you are desperate for quarterback production.

The Bears face the Cleveland Browns, who are tied for allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Fields is my No. 16 option.

Jimmy Garoppolo of the San Francisco 49ers is my No. 18 quarterback this week.

The 49ers face the Green Bay Packers, who allowed the second-most touchdown passes (seven) in the NFL through two weeks.

Look for the 49ers, who recently sustained several injuries at the running back position, to lean on the veteran quarterback. Garoppolo is a great bet to throw at least two touchdown passes.
