Washington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick should be removed from all lineups, and dropped from teams, due to the multi-week hip injury he sustained in Week 1.
Here are some of my favorite players in this week's top 20 quarterback rankings:
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw four touchdown passes in Week 1 and should provide elite QB1 value again in Week 2.
The Seahawks host the Tennessee Titans, who allowed four touchdown passes and a rushing score to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray in Week 1. The Titans also allowed the second-most passing scores in the NFL last season.
Look for Wilson to throw at least three passing touchdowns and eclipse 300 yards in what should be a shootout in Seattle. He is my No. 1 quarterback for Week 2.
Aaron Rodgers posted one of the worst performances of his career in Week 1, with just 133 yards and no touchdown passes against the New Orleans Saints. He also threw two interceptions.
The Lions also allowed 319 passing yards and two scores in Week 1 to San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks. Rodgers is my No. 2 quarterback and a near-lock to pass for more than 300 yards and three scores. His top target, Davante Adams, is my No. 2 wide receiver for Week 2.
The Bears allowed a nearly perfect performance from Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in Week 1.
Look for the Bengals to use a balanced approach to pick up their second win of the season Sunday in Chicago.
I expect Burrow and Bengals running back Joe Burrow to each finish inside the top 10 at their position this week in fantasy football. Mixon is my No. 2 running back.
Burrow should post at least two passing scores and throw for close to 300 yards. He is my No. 9 quarterback.
Teddy Bridgewater completed 77.8% of his throws and threw two passing scores in Week 1 for the Denver Broncos. He is my No. 13 option for Week 2.
Bridgewater is a great streaming option as the Broncos enter a matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks last season. They also allowed 291 passing yards and two scores to Houston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor in Week 1.
Bridgewater should spread the ball around to several capable Broncos pass catchers and throw for at least 250 yards. He has a shot to throw multiple touchdown passes in this game Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Atlanta Falcons defense carried its 2020 struggles into Week 1, which means the team will likely play from behind a lot this season.
That game script should benefit Matt Ryan's fantasy football owners. Ryan didn't throw a touchdown pass in Week 1, but should rebound this week when the Falcons face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Look for the Falcons to follow a similar strategy as the one used by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, when Dak Prescott threw 58 times for 403 yards and three scores in a close loss to the Buccaneers.
Ryan should throw at least 50 passes in this game. Look for the Falcons quarterback to come close to 300 passing yards. He should throw at least two touchdown passes in Week 2.
Ryan is my No. 14 option, but should only be used if you are desperate for points at the position.
Tyrod Taylor of the Houston Texans is another only-use-if-you're-desperate fantasy football quarterback. Taylor's impressive Week 1 performance should carry into this week, when the Texans face the Cleveland Browns.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes torched the Browns for 337 yards and three scores in Week 1. Taylor doesn't have Mahomes' talent, or arsenal of pass catchers, but should be succesful enough to warrant streaming consideration in leagues with at least 14 teams.
He is my No. 20 quarterback.
