MIAMI, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- D.K. Metcalf, Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Stefon Diggs and Mike Evans top my Week 2 fantasy football wide receiver rankings for 2021.
Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, A.J. Brown, CeeDee Lamb and Keenan Allen round out my top 10 options for Week 2. Brandin Cooks, Christian Kirk and Mike Williams are among my other favorite wide receivers to start this week.
Target players who have a good chance to score a touchdown and get a lot of looks from their respective quarterbacks when considering who to start at wide receiver.
Here are some of my favorite players in this week's rankings:
TOP SHELF
D.K. Metcalf scored his first touchdown of the season in the Seattle Seahawks' Week 1 win over the Indianapolis Colts. This week, he faces the Tennessee Titans.
Metcalf's teammate, Tyler Lockett, led the Seahawks with 100 yards and two scores on four catches in Week 1. Look for Metcalf to be quarterback Russell Wilson's top target in Week 2.
The Titans allowed four touchdowns passes to Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals last week. Wilson is a near lock to throw at least three more touchdown tosses in this matchup.
Metcalf is a threat to score twice and lead all wide receivers in fantasy points. He is No. 1 in my rankings.
The Green Bay Packers logged one of the most disappointing performances in Week 1, losing 38-3 to the New Orleans Saints. Look for a big time rebound from Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Davante Adams in Week 2.
The Packers host the Detroit Lions, who are coming off a brutal loss in Week 1. The Lions also lost top cornerback Jeff Okudah to a season-ending injury last week.
Rodgers and the Packers should dominate this matchup. Adams is my No. 2 wide receiver for Week 2. I expect at least 100 receiving yards and two scores from Rodgers' top target.
SNEAKY PLAYS
Mike Evans posted a pedestrian three catches for 24 yards and didn't score in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 1 win, but should be more involved in Week 2.
The Buccaneers battle the Atlanta Falcons, who just allowed three touchdown passes to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts in Week 1.
The Falcons also owned one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last season.
Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady should carve up this secondary. Evans should find the end zone and reel in at least six catches in a lopsided victory. He is my No. 5 wide receiver.
The Houston Texans are still expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, but they looked impressive in a Week 1 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor threw for 291 yards and two scores in Week 1, with wide receiver Brandin Cooks as his top target. Cooks, who secured five catches for 132 yards against the Jaguars, should find room again in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes roasted the Browns for 337 yards and three scores to open the season.
Look for Cooks to find the end zone for his first touchdown of the season Sunday in Cleveland. He is my No. 24 option and can be used as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3.
LONGSHOTS
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk was one of my top waiver wire pickups for Week 2. He lands at No. 27 in my Week 2 rankings and can be used as a WR3 in all leagues.
Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray looks like an early NFL MVP contender on what should be an explosive offense all season.
DeAndre Hopkins remains Murray's top target, but don't be shocked to see Kirk post WR1 level fantasy football stats throughout the year when he gets a good matchup.
Kirk secured each of his five targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans. This week, he faces a Minnesota Vikings defense that just allowed 101 yards and a score on five catches to Cincinnati Bengals rookie Ja'Marr Chase.
The speed of Hopkins and Kirk should overwhelm the Vikings in Week 2. I expect both players to reach the end zone for a second-consecutive week.
Mike Williams of the Los Angeles Chargers scored his team's lone receiving touchdown in a Week 1 win over the Washington Football Team. He is my No. 36 wide receiver in Week 2.
The Chargers host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady threw for 379 yards and four scores in a Week 1 win over the Cowboys.
Look for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert to throw at least three touchdown passes in what should be a shootout in Week 2.
I expect Williams to catch at least six passes for 100 yards, with a chance to score.
