July 5 (UPI) -- Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence inked his four-year rookie contract with the organization Monday, clearing the way for him to attend training camp later this month.
Lawrence's four-year agreement is worth $36.8 million and includes a $24.1 million signing bonus. He is scheduled to count $6.7 million against the salary cap in 2021.
The pact, like all first-round rookie contracts, includes a fifth-year option. According to ESPN and NFL Media, Lawrence has already passed his physical and will earn his full signing bonus within the next 15 days.
With Lawrence under contract, the Jaguars have now signed six of their nine draft picks for this year. Former Clemson running back Travis Etienne (first round), cornerback Tyson Campbell (second round) and offensive tackle Walker Little (second round) remain unsigned ahead of camp.
The 21-year-old Lawrence is expected to serve as the immediate starter at quarterback for the Jaguars in 2021. He posted a 34-2 record at Clemson and guided the Tigers to the national championship as a freshman in 2018.
In 40 games (36 starts) at Clemson, he recorded 10,098 passing yards with 90 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He added 943 rushing yards and 18 scores on the ground with the Tigers.
