July 27 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Riley Ridley sustained a hamstring injury during a training camp session.

Riley picked up the injury Friday and left practice early. He did not practice Saturday. Bears coach Matt Nagy confirmed the injury, but did not express too much concern when meeting with reporters.

"I think you'll see unfortunately as you go through these camps you have those," Nagy said. "Luckily, we have an unbelievable training staff and Dre [head trainer Andre Tucker] and them will do a great job of getting him back."

Ridley -- the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley -- was a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Georgia product had 559 yards and nine touchdowns on 43 receptions in his final season with the Bulldogs.

The rookie's role in the Bears' offense is unclear so far, with Chicago likely starting Taylor Gabriel and Allen Robinson, while playing Anthony Miller in the slot. The Bears also have veteran wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson on their roster.
