May 23 (UPI) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached an agreement with former Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, the team announced Thursday.

Suh officially agreed to a one-year contract with the Bucs. The team didn't disclose financial terms of the deal, but league sources told ESPN that the agreement is worth $9.25 million and has incentives that could push the total to $10 million.

The 32-year-old defensive tackle started all 16 regular-season games with the Rams last season. He began his professional career with the Detroit Lions after he was selected in the first round (No. 2 overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Suh signed a six-year, $114 million contract with the Miami Dolphins in 2015 before he was cut last off-season. He signed a one-year deal with the Rams three days after the Dolphins released him.

Suh is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro choice. He had 59 tackles, four tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, four passes defensed and two fumble recoveries last season.

Pro Football Focus ranked Suh as the No. 20 defensive lineman in the league last season. He has started all 16 regular-season contests in eight of his nine NFL seasons.

The Buccaneers reached a deal with Suh after releasing veteran defensive lineman Gerald McCoy on Monday. McCoy, who was away from the team's voluntary off-season workouts, had 28 tackles and six sacks in 14 starts last year.

Tampa Bay cleared $13 million in salary cap space after releasing McCoy.
