Washington, 24, was a third round pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Bills cut the 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive lineman in 2018, before he joined the Cincinnati Bengals. Washington also spent a short time with the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad before signing with Cincinnati. The Bengals released Washington in April.

The Ohio State product had six tackles and a sack in four games for the Bengals last season. He had two tackles in one game for the Bills in 2018. Washington has 62 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks and three passes defensed in 35 career games. He has 21 starts during his three-year NFL tenure.

The Dolphins have OTA off-season workouts on Thursday and return to their training facility on Tuesday for another session. Miami has mandatory minicamp from June 4 to June 6 in Davie, Fla.
