May 23 (UPI) -- Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and actor Tom Hanks talked about the pressures of the NFL during an event for military families Wednesday in Indianapolis.

Hanks said he loves watching Luck play. The Colts quarterback missed the entire 2017 season due to a shoulder injury, but returned in 2018 to become the AP Comeback Player of the Year. Hanks asked the Colts star if he has suffered for having the last name "Luck."

Luck said the name carries weight from positive and negative perspectives.

"Basically, in sports you get made fun of for everything," Luck said. "It doesn't matter what it is. [I have] skin like an armadillo, as an old coach would say."

Hanks also asked Luck if he pays attention to social media after the games, but Luck said he stays off of it. He also said that he thinks he's too old for the social platforms.

Luck and Hanks exchanged a handshake before signing autographs and taking photos with fans.

The Colts joked that the pairing was "Andy and Woody" in a caption for a Facebook photo, in reference to the main characters from Toy Story. Hanks also found a man with a Woody tattoo on his stomach and took a photo with the fan.

"Well, howdy partner," Hanks wrote for the caption on the photo in a Twitter post. "Where's Buzz [Lightyear]?"

The Colts wrapped up their first round of OTA off-season workouts on Thursday. The Colts return to OTAs on May 29 and start mandatory minicamp on June 11. Luck has been sitting out of the workouts after sustaining a minor calf injury.

He will be reevaluated for the injury next week.
