"Ain't not like putting a smile on your mother face! We've been through so much, and now it's like we're on top of the world!" Leonard wrote for the Instagram caption of the footage.

Leonard and members of his family were in a parking lot during the sequence.

A car alarm went off in the background, prompting Leonard to ask "Whose car is that?" His mother then screamed wildly and ran around the parking lot toward the white vehicle. The car had a red bow on it. Leonard's mother ran in a circle with her hands over her face before returning to hug her son for the gift.

Leonard, 23, was a second round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft out of South Carolina. The 6-foot-2, 234-pound defender led the NFL with 163 tackles in his first season for the Colts. Leonard also had a league-high 111 solo tackles along with eight passes defensed, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 15 starts for the Colts.

He won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award and was named an All-Pro for his efforts.
