The Los Angeles Chargers were without their best wide receiver during their second-half comeback against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night. Keenan Allen exited the game in the second quarter with what was later diagnosed as a hip pointer, the NFL Network reported Friday.

Los Angeles (11-3) ralled from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to stun the Chiefs 29-28 on a last-second touchdown to secure a postseason berth.
Allen, who landed on his hip, did not have a reception for the first time this season. According to the report, he suffered no structural damage and the injury is not expected to affect him long term.
It is unclear if Allen will be available for the Week 16 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers are tied with the Chiefs for first place in both the AFC West and the best record in the conference, although Kansas City owns the tiebreaker.
Allen entered Thursday's game with 88 receptions and 1,074 yards, and was on pace to eclipse his career best of 102 catches -- established a year ago. The injury also ended Allen's chance to extend a five-game touchdown streak.
A third-round draft pick of the Chargers in 2013, Allen has dealt with a pair of major injuries that derailed half of one season and almost all of another. He notched at least 67 receptions in each of his first three seasons and scored a career-high eight touchdowns in his rookie campaign.
In 2015, Allen had 67 receptions in eight games before his season ended due to a kidney injury. Allen then suffered a torn ACL in the 2016 season opener, but he came back to play in all 16 games for the first time in his career in 2017.
