Beckham is battling a quad injury. The three-time Pro Bowl selection has 1,052 yards and six scores on 77 receptions in 12 games this season. He was limited last week at practice before not playing in Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
Beckham was limited in Wednesday's practice and did not practice on Thursday. Coach Pat Shurmur told reporters that Beckham was being "further evaluated" outside of the Giants' facility in relation to the injury.
Shurmur told reporters on Friday that Beckham is out for Week 15. Beckham said Thursday that he didn't know if he would play.
He said the injury occurred on the last play during the Philadelphia Eagles game.
"Since then it has just kinda been lingering around and I just kinda played through it. It is just aggravated."
Beckham had five catches for 85 yards in the Giants' Nov. 25 loss to the Eagles before suffering the injury. He pulled down three grabs for 35 yards and a score in the Giants' Week 13 win against the Chicago Bears.
If you are still in the fantasy football playoffs, congratulations. But if you roster Beckham, you really need to be on the lookout for a player to fill-in for the superstar ahead of Saturday's slate of games.
Sterling Shepard is not a bad option if he is available in your league. Shepard pulled in a touchdown last week against the Titans and should see a large number of targets against the Titans, who are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season.
