Dec. 10 (UPI) -- All-Pro Todd Gurley didn't hold back when discussing the Los Angeles Rams' performance against the Chicago Bears, saying his team "played like [expletive]."

The star running back and NFL MVP candidate also likened himself to a skunk. Gurley had a season-low 28 yards on 11 carries in the 15-6 loss to the Bears on Sunday at Solider Field in Chicago. The loss ended the Rams' three-game winning streak.

"They did a great job. We played like [expletive]," Gurley told reporters. "They held us to six points. Simple as that."

Gurley has 1,203 yards and 15 scores on 244 carries this season. He leads the league with 19 total touchdowns.

"I looked like a skunk. That's what I looked like," Gurley said. "It was just one of those games. We were all sorry today."

The Rams face the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles at 8:20 p.m. on Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Gurley trails Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott for the league lead in rushing yards. Elliott has 1,262 yards this season compared to Gurley's 1,203. New York Giants star rookie Saquon Barkley is No. 3 in rushing with a total of 1,124 yards.
