Detroit Lions LT Taylor Decker bidding to recover first touchdown ball

Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker got caught up in the moment after scoring his first touchdown of his career in Sunday's 30-16 setback to the Los Angeles Rams.

Decker reeled in an 11-yard reception from Matthew Stafford on a tackle-eligible play and promptly tossed the ball into the crowd at Ford Field.

Upon reflection, the 6-foot-7, 311-pound Decker wished he had that souvenir and took to social media in a bid to retrieve the ball.

"To whoever caught/has the ball I threw into the stands. I've played football since first grade, and that was my first ever touchdown," Decker wrote on Instagram. "I'd love to have that ball, and would be more than happy to hook you up if you'd be willing #defendtheden #bigmantouchdown".

Decker didn't stop there, as the 25-year-old reached out to fans on Twitter as well -- with multiple responses.

On Monday, Decker tweeted that he believes he's found the person who caught his impromptu pass.

"I HAVE FOUND HIM!!!!!!! AND HE IS BEING GREAT ABOUT IT #socialmediastrikesagain".

As for the touchdown reception, Decker hopes to have the ball to go with his fond memory.

"It was pretty cool," said Decker, who was Detroit's first-round selection (16th overall) in the 2016 NFL Draft.

"You know, obviously we didn't get the result we wanted in the game. But, you know, that's my first ever touchdown and I've played football since first grade. Always been an O-lineman, so for my first touchdown to come as a left tackle in the NFL is pretty damn cool."
