Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was carted off with a right foot injury during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

Green, who was ruled out for the rest of the contest, made his return to action on Sunday after a three-game absence due to a right toe injury.

The seven-time Pro Bowl wideout came out of his break on a route and pulled up lame before grabbing his foot as he went to the ground. Green did not put any weight on his foot as he hobbled to the sideline with the assistance of trainers.

Green, who soon covered his face with his hands as he was carted to the locker room, was officially ruled out for the remainder of the contest mere minutes later.

The 30-year-old initially suffered a foot injury in a 37-34 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 28.

Green, who had one catch for seven yards versus the Broncos, has 46 receptions for 694 yards and six touchdown catches this season.

Green has eclipsed 100 yards receiving in a franchise-best 32 games in his career. He has 602 receptions for 8,907 yards and 63 touchdowns in 111 contests since being selected by Cincinnati with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
