Kareem Hunt has a verbal exchange with a woman in the video before the two have to be separated multiple times. He later appears to push the woman, who slaps him in the face in response. Kareem Hunt is escorted down a hallway before returning to the woman and knocking her over and kicking her while she was on the ground.

Police were called to the hotel but no arrests were made and no charges were filed. There were two police reports field regarding the incident.

In August, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said that he did not expect Kareem Hunt to be suspended for the incident.

"Kareem is a young man, second year in the league, obviously had a very big year on the field last year," Clark Hunt said. "I'm sure he learned some lessons this off-season and hopefully won't be in those kind of situations in the future."
