Quarterback Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens, who has not played or practiced since sustaining a hip injury in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, did not practice again on Wednesday.

After a week to heal because of the Ravens' bye week, Flacco was unable to play against the Cincinnati Bengals, even though coach John Harbaugh said if was healthy he could play even without practicing all week.

Harbaugh is singing a different tune this week, saying: "Yes, it will be tough for him this week coming."

The Ravens might not needed him when they host the Oakland Raiders (2-8) on Sunday because rookie Lamar Jackson replaced Flacco last Sunday and was impressive in his first NFL start.

Jackson, the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner from Louisville and the Ravens' No. 1 draft choice this year, passed for 150 yards and rushed for another 117 on 27 carries in a 24-21 victory over the Bengals.

The Ravens have not named Jackson to start this week, but he sounded like he planning to do so when he said about his rushing performance last week: "We're going to be throwing the ball. You're going to see. ... My job is to distribute."

Also missing practice for the Ravens on Wednesday were tackle James Hurst (back), guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder), safety Eric Weddle (undisclosed), cornerback Tavon Young (ankle) and defensive back Anthony Levine (ankle).
