QB Phillip Walker re-signs with Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts signed quarterback Phillip Walker to the practice squad on Friday and released defensive end Anthony Winbush from the practice squad.

The 5-foot-11, 216-pound Walker has had four previous stints on the Colts' practice squad this season. He went through the team's 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts before the season opener on Sept. 1.

Walker signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts on Jan. 1, 2018, after spending the entire 2017 season on Indianapolis' practice squad. Walker was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Temple on May 4, 2017.

In his career at Temple, Walker passed for 10,668 yards and 74 touchdowns with 44 interceptions.

The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Winbush was signed to the Colts' practice squad on Nov. 13. He participated in the Atlanta Falcons' 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts on Sept. 1.

Winbush signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Ball State on May 1, 2018. He played in 45 career games, with 23 starts, at Ball State and totaled 99 tackles (56 solo), 32.5 tackles for loss, 25 sacks, one pass defensed, nine forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
