Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Recently acquired wide receiver Golden Tate will have a bigger role in Week 11 than he had in his first game with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Tate is more comfortable in the offense and he should see an increase in snaps and production on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

"He doesn't know it all [the playbook] because we aren't throwing it all at him," Pederson told reporters. "But he has a really good handle now going into his third week with us. Really, the amount of practice reps that he gets and seeing it over and over again, he has a good grasp of kinda what we are doing and how we are positioning him each and every week."

Tate had four targets, two catches and 19 yards in his first appearance for the Eagles against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. He had 44 receptions for 517 yards and three scores in seven games for the Detroit Lions before being traded to the Eagles on Oct. 30.

"We've had time to kind of coach off of last week's film during the game, and then obviously kind of work it in practice this week," Pederson said. "I think he feels more comfortable with some of the formations and code words that we do use."

The Eagles and Saints kick off at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
