Nov. 14 (UPI) -- The New Orleans Saints will be without left tackle Terron Armstead for at least a few weeks.

A source told NFL Network that Armstead will miss roughly 3-to-4 weeks due to a pectoral injury. Armstead suffered the injury during the Saints' Week 10 win against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Veteran offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod came in as a substitute for Armstead during the victory. Armstead, 27, was a third round pick by the Saints in the 2013 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5, 304-pound offensive lineman has started all nine games this season for the Saints. He made 10 starts in 2017.

Payton told reporters Wednesday that he had not read about Armstead being out for the next few weeks and he would not comment on the injury.

Bushrod signed with the Saints in September after being cut before Week 1 of the 2018 season. The two-time Pro Bowl selection was a fourth-round pick by the Saints in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played in New Orleans for the first six seasons of his career before stints with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.
