Buccaneers waive kicker Chandler Catanzaro

Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has waived kicker Chandler Catanzaro.

Tampa Bay announced the roster move on Monday. Catanzaro missed two field goals in the Buccaneers' 16-3 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday in Tampa. He has made 11-of-15 field goals on the season, while making 23 of his 27 extra point attempts.

Catanzaro, 27, made 83 percent of his kicks in 16 games last season for the New York Jets. He played the first three seasons of his career for the Arizona Cardinals, where he converted 84.8 percent of his kicks and 93.2 percent of his extra points. For his career, Catanzaro has made 83.2 percent of his field goals and 93.1 percent of his extra points.
