Bengals extend LS Clark Harris, sign WR Auden Tate

Nov. 5 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Bengals have signed long snapper Clark Harris to a contract extension and signed wide receiver Auden Tate off the practice squad.

Cincinnati announced the roster moves on Monday. The Bengals also placed linebacker Carl Lawson on injured reserve.

Harris, 34, entered the league as a seventh-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Rutgers product also suited up for the Green Bay Packers before signing with the Bengals as a free agent in 2009. Harris' extension is for two years.

Harris hasn't had an unplayable snap in 1,364 attempts with the Bengals, including 727 punts and 637 placekicks. He also has 31 special teams tackles and made the Pro Bowl in 2017.

Tate, 21, was a seventh-round pick by the Bengals in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Florida State product was waived on Oct. 18 and signed to the practice squad the next day. He was inactive for the Bengals' first six games.

Lawson suffered a knee injury last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had six tackles and a sack in eight games this season for the Bengals.

Cincinnati had a Week 9 bye and hosts the New Orleans Saints at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.
