Tom Brady is spending time away from the voluntary portion of the New England Patriots' offseason activities to work on his game. His golf game, that is.

Brady played a round of golf Tuesday with Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler as well as investment banker Jimmy Dunne, according to Tim Rosaforte of Golf Channel. The quartet played at Friar's Head Golf Club in New York.

Perhaps the five-time Super Bowl champion and three-time NFL Most Valuable Player's good fortune will rub off on Mickelson, who has six runner-up finishes at the U.S. Open.

While Mickelson needs to win the tournament to complete the career Grand Slam, Fowler is bidding for his first major championship this week at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

Brady is no stranger to rubbing noses with elite golfers. The 40-year-old also played with Jordan Spieth in March 2017, a few weeks prior to The Masters.
