Seahawks CB Dontae Johnson to undergo surgery for broken foot

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Dontae Johnson broke a bone in his foot and will undergo surgery, The Seattle Times reported on Tuesday.

Johnson, who played the previous four years in San Francisco, played 1,029 defensive snaps, recorded 77 tackles, seven pass breakups and an interception last season.

Johnson is battling Shaquill Griffin and Byron Maxwell for a regular role with Richard Sherman now in San Francisco.

There is currently no timeline for Johnson's return.
