Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb signed his four-year rookie contract, the team announced on Monday.

Chubb, who was selected with the 35th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, is the seventh of nine selections signed by the Browns. Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma, the first overall pick, and cornerback Denzel Ward out of Ohio State -- the fourth overall pick -- have yet to sign.

The 5-foot-11, 227-pound Chubb overcame a knee injury during his sophomore season to provide a potent punch at Georgia with first-round pick Sony Michel, who was selected by the New England Patriots. Chubb had 223 carries for 1,345 yards and 15 touchdowns during his senior season with the Bulldogs.

Chubb, 22, started 40 of 47 games at Georgia, rushing 758 times for 4,769 yards with 44 touchdowns while adding 31 receptions for 361 yards and four scores.

Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com had Chubb rated 37th on his final Big Board.

Chubb joins offseason acquisition Carlos Hyde as well as Duke Johnson in the backfield for the Browns.
