Left tackle Nate Solder is well aware of the challenge that found its way to his plate shortly after he signed a four-year, $62 million contract with the New York Giants. The Giants' offensive line, after all, struggled mightily last season.

"There's a tremendous amount of pressure and I've been under a tremendous amount of pressure for years now," the 6-foot-8, 314-pound Solder told WFAN in New York. "You can only take it one bite at a time. You go one day better. It's not going to be one person that is going to fix everything. It's going to be a group effort. We got to win as a team and do the best we can every single day."
The Giants also added guards Patrick Omameh and Will Hernandez this offseason and Ereck Flowers has been shuffled to right tackle.
Issues along the offensive line -- as well as the injury of star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. -- sent the slumping Giants to a 3-13 mark last season. New York's offense ranked 31st in the league in scoring at 15.4 points per game.
Solder was a mainstay on the New England Patriots' offensive line, starting at least 15 games in six of his seven NFL seasons.
The 30-year-old appeared in four Super Bowls, including a loss to the Giants during his first season in 2011, when he was named to the NFL's All-Rookie team.
A first-round draft pick out of Colorado in 2011, Solder started 95 of 98 regular-season games and 16 postseason contests for the Patriots.
