May 31 (UPI) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posted a photo of what might be to come: his son sporting his football helmet and shoulder pads.

Brady posted the photo of Benjamin Brady Wednesday on his Instagram account. Benjamin, 8, held a football in his left hand and pointed his right arm toward the sky, looking as though he was about to throw a Hail Mary like his dad. He smiled while dwarfed in the oversized headgear.

"Benny B and his armor! Class of 2026," Brady wrote on the post.

Brady's post had about 330,000 likes as of Thursday morning. Soccer legend David Beckham made a comment on the post, mistaking Brady's username with actor Tom Hardy's handle.

"Amazing," Beckham wrote. "Literally mini me."

Several of Brady's past and present teammates also liked and commented on the post.

"Lefty," Tedy Bruschi wrote. "Nice Benny!"

Asanti Samuel asked if Benjamin was the mini G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time).

Benjamin is Brady and Gisele Bundchen's son. He also fathers son John Edward Thomas Moynahan, 10, with actress Bridget Moynahan. Brady and Bundchen also have a daughter, five-year-old Vivian.

Brady and Jack toured Asia together in June of 2017, where his oldest son participated in Brady's American football clinic in Tokyo and showed off his passing skills.

The NFL MVP later told WEEI that he wouldn't tell his son that he wasn't allowed to play football, despite concerns about CTE and concussions.

"I won't tell him that [Jack] can't, I'll tell you that," Brady said. "I had a lot of people tell me that I can't. I won't tell my kids they can't do anything that they want to do. Whatever they choose to do I will fully support. If it is playing contact sports, I think contact sports teach you certain levels of discipline that other sports maybe don't teach you. I have no problem with my kids playing football."

Brady told People in March that Jack loves soccer and wants to be an Olympic goalie. He said Benjamin likes hockey. At the Super Bowl he speculated that Vivian could possibly play tennis or soccer.

"I think right now [Jack] wants to be a professional soccer player," Moynahan said in 2017 during an appearance on Live with Kelly. "Though after the Olympics he's like, 'I think I'm going to win a gold in swimming. Then it was Michael Phelps. So I think he just likes awards."
