Browns' Landry says he is NFL's best receiver

The title of best wide receiver in the NFL is subjective, with fans able to make passionate arguments for either Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown, Atlanta Falcons stud Julio Jones or Houston Texans wideout DeAndre Hopkins, among others.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry believes he should hold that title, and he provided an explanation as to why.

"I consider myself the most complete receiver," the 25-year-old Landry said, per the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "If you turn on the film, I do everything. I block; I play inside; I play outside; and I come out of the backfield. My value is that much more to the team and to the offense. I consider myself the best receiver in the NFL."

Landry signed a five-year, $75 million contract extension with the Browns after he was acquired in a trade with the Miami Dolphins. Cleveland sent a fourth-round pick (123rd overall) in 2018 NFL Draft and a seventh-round selection in 2019 to Miami.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Landry led the league in receptions with 112 last season. He had nine touchdown catches and finished with 987 yards receiving for an 8.8-yard average per catch in 2017.

Landry has no doubts that he'll bring his success in Miami to Cleveland.

"Just my playmaking ability on the field," Landry said. "Off of the field, my leadership and my energy. Being able to help the younger guys, being able to help anybody that needs it. I have been through a lot of things. I have grown. To be able to be there and be that leader for those guys is really important to me, as well."

Landry has 400 receptions since being selected by the Dolphins in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The only players to have more receptions since Landry entered the league are Brown and Jones.
