The San Francisco 49ers are bringing back a familiar uniform.

The 49ers announced that on two occasions this season they will don their white-on-white uniforms with drop-shadow numbers on the jersey that they used while winning the Super Bowl during the 1994 campaign.

To complete the mental picture, the jerseys have three stripes on their sleeves and black and red pant stripes as well.

Offseason acquisition Richard Sherman joined Joe Staley, DeForest Buckner, Robbie Gould and Kyle Juszczyk modeled the uniform on Wednesday. The contingent was accompanied by Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

The throwback uniforms will serve as San Francisco's alternate ones. They will replace the team's black-on-black versions it has worn since the 2015 seasons.
