May 19 (UPI) -- New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. donned a throwback jersey and hit some homers during a recent batting practice session with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Beckham stepped up to the plate before the Rays took on the Los Angeles Angels Friday at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, Calif. The 5-foot-11, 198-pound Pro Bowler was a guest of Rays pitcher Blake Snell.

He sported an old school Devil Rays jersey during the swatting session. The jersey had Snell's name on the back. Beckham also wore a bright red ski cap, jeans and Jordans.

The Rays and Major League Baseball posted videos of Beckham's hacks. The wide receiver had a rough start, swinging and missing at a few pitches before making great contact with several of the offerings. He hit some of them over the fence and into the rocks in left field.

Unsurprisingly, Beckham already has a knack for celebrations in baseball. He looks to have already perfected his home run pose.

"OBJ can crush," the MLB Twitter account tweeted.

"Thanks for havin me," Beckham responded.

Beckham previously showed off his swing during a celebrity softball game in 2016 in New York. He sent a home run out of that ball park by running up to the pitch Happy Gilmore style.

The Giants kickoff OTAs on Monday. Tampa Bay won Friday's bout 8-3.
