Ayers, 28, is currently an unrestricted free agent. He has started 58 games in his seven seasons, but he is coming off his least productive year.
He was released by the Indianapolis Colts just before the start of the 2017 regular season and was signed by the Giants in November. He played six games for New York, none as a starter, and recorded just one tackle.
For his career, Ayers has 320 tackles and 15 1/2 sacks while playing for the Titans, Patriots, Rams, Colts and Giants.
