March 7 (UPI) -- Free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins is open to suggestions when it comes to choosing his next team. Cousins posted a photo of himself Tuesday on social media, including a message for fans.
"Next week is now officially the first time since 2007 that I'll be choosing where to play football," he wrote in the caption. "I'm open to suggestions. #freeagency."
The photo had more than 28,000 likes on Instagram by Wednesday morning, but Cousins is still looking for a squad in 2018. The 29-year-old effectively became a free agent on Tuesday, after the Washington Redskins declined to use the franchise tag on the veteran quarterback.
Cousins first joined the franchise as a fourth round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Michigan State product went on to complete 65.5 percent of his throws for 16,206 yards, 99 touchdowns and 55 interceptions, while posting a quarterback rating of 93.7 and a 26-30-1 record as a starter. Cousins made the Pro Bowl in 2016.
He is being linked to the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals in free agency.
Last week, Cousins posted a photo with Cardinals veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald after the two ran into each other at the airport in Atlanta.
You’re absolutely right! If Kirk loves rainbows, I LOVE RAINBOWs! Lol https://t.co/yhNptowJg4

"He's a great recruiter," Cousins wrote in the caption for the photo on social media.
The free agent prize is also being publicly recruited by Broncos All-Pro Von Miller.
NFL franchises are permitted to contact -- and enter into contracts with -- the agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents after the expiration of their 2017 player contracts at 4 p.m. (New York time) on March 14.
