Pete Carroll is still the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, but his coaching staff will look a lot different next season.

Assistant defensive backs coach Ricky Manning Jr. will not be returning to the team, according to multiple media outlets, and he will be the eighth assistant to leave Carroll's staff since the end of the season.

Manning was hired by the Seahawks in 2016, and coached in college for three years before that. He played six seasons in the NFL as a cornerback.

Other 2017 Seattle assistants no longer on the staff include offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, defensive coordinator Kris Richard, offensive line coach Tom Cable, linebackers coach Michael Barrow, senior defensive assistant Travis Jones, assistant defensive line coach Dwaine Board and assistant special teams coach Heath Farwell.

The Seahawks finished 9-7 this past season and failed to make the playoffs.
