Jubilant fans took to the streets of the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday night to celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles' 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Many fans kept the party going well into the wee hours of Monday morning, with chants of "Fly Eagles Fly" heard for miles while police in riot gear patrolled the streets. The festive atmosphere also featured plenty of damage along the way, however.

"We have had several acts of vandalism where windows have been smashed, and some injuries have been reported around light poles that have been pulled down," the Philadelphia Police Department said in a statement, per the New York Times. "We have one report of looting at a gas station. There have been no fatalities."
The Eagles' championship was the first by a major professional sports team in Philadelphia since the Phillies won the 2008 World Series over the Tampa Bay Rays. Police made 76 arrests on that night. No updates on arrests following the Eagles' win were made as of Monday morning.
The city attempted to take precautionary measures such as lubricating light poles with hydraulic fluid to prevent overzealous fans from climbing them, with a fair amount of success.
