Long snapper Jon Dorenbos will receive a Super Bowl ring with the Philadelphia Eagles despite being traded to the New Orleans Saints in late August. A physical in New Orleans revealed an aortic aneurysm that ended the career of Dorenbos, who spent 11 seasons in Philadelphia.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie invited Dorenbos to attend Super Bowl LII as an honorary part of the team. Dorenbos was able to witness the Eagles post a 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday.
"Had I played, I'd die. If you can't play in it, this is the next best way to enjoy it," the 37-year-old Dorenbos said, via The New Orleans Advocate. "Mr. Lurie called me and said he wants me to be a part of it, said I was here a long time and he said, 'We're going to win this, and you're going to get a ring.'"
Dorenbos began his career with the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans. With the Eagles, he appeared in a franchise-record 162 consecutive regular-season games and earned two Pro Bowl berths.
The popular player among teammates and fans is also known for his talents as a magician, making television appearances and becoming a finalist on the NBC show "America's Got Talent" in 2016. Dorenbos turned to magic in his childhood as a way to deal with a family tragedy when his father murdered his mother when he was 12.
