Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Bud Light is making good on a promise, agreeing to give out free beer to Philadelphia Eagles fans during their Super Bowl parade.

Eagles tackle Lane Johnson deserves some credit for the beer donation. He promised free beer for everybody in the summer if the Eagles won the Super Bowl.

"I've got a lot to prove to this city," Johnson told reporters. "I think if we have a few big years and make the playoffs, if we win a Super Bowl, I'm giving out beer to everybody."

Bud Light followed his promise by saying they would pay the tab and provide the beer.

"@LaneJohnson65 Let's make a bet. Win it all and the party is on us," Bud Light tweeted on Aug. 2. "Deal?"

The Eagles made good on the bet Sunday with a 41-33 victory against the New England Patriots. But Johnson won't have to pay for the brews.

Bud Light tweeted that Johnson and his friends -- who are at least 21-years-old -- can stop by taverns along the parade route for a light lager.

"The Eagle hath flown and your triumph in battle hath inspired the King to make good on his promise: During the great victory parade, Bud Light shall floweth in the taverns along the parade trail," Bud Light said in a statement on its website.

"Joineth us and thy brave knight, Sir Lane Johnson, for the parade of tickered tapes, cheesed steaks and the kingdom's favored lighteth lager," it continued. "I thus decree that henceforth, this parade day shalt be known as Philly Philly Day!"

Action News Philadelphia reported that there will be 25 different locations along Thursday's parade route to pick up a free beer.

The move follows a rowdy celebration in Philadelphia Sunday night and early Monday morning with multiple reports of looting and vandalism throughout the city.
