Washington Redskins linebacker Mason Foster signed a contract extension, the team announced Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Redskins, but NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported -- citing Foster's agent -- that the two-year deal was worth up to $7 million.
Foster was limited to playing in just five games this season after sustaining a torn labrum in his shoulder in Week 2. He recorded 31 tackles, an interception and half a sack in 2017.
The 28-year-old Foster has collected 535 tackles, 7.5 sacks, six interceptions and four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 91 career contests with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Redskins.
