Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry told reporters on Thursday that his contract negotiations are progressing, albeit slowly.
The pace actually is an improvement, as Landry told the Miami Herald last week that he hadn't heard from the team since his counteroffer to the club in the middle of December. The 25-year-old Landry even went so far as to label the team's process as "disrespectful" at the time.
Landry, who is inching closer toward becoming an unrestricted free agent in March, spoke to the NFL Network on Thursday after practice ahead of the Pro Bowl.
"They're moving. They're moving slowly, but they're moving," Landry said. "And again for me, (for) the most part I've been out trying to enjoy my time with my family, with these other guys -- these talented guys around the league, and just letting the rest take care of itself."

Landry said he didn't have an exact figure in mind, although his agent, Damarius Bilbo, has been on the record as saying the receiver wouldn't take a discount to remain in Miami.
Landry's comments on Thursday have a far different tone than those of last week.
"From the offer process until this point was disrespectful," Landry told the Miami Herald at the time. "I tried to handle it the right way and figured if a team values you and wants you to be a part of the team, why haven't they answered in the past month?"
The Dolphins could place either a franchise tag or a transition tag on Landry prior to March 6.
Landry led the NFL with a career-best 112 receptions to go along with 987 yards and nine touchdowns this season. He was named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster on Jan. 9 as an injury replacement for Houston Texans wideout DeAndre Hopkins.
Landry has 400 career receptions for 4,038 yards with 22 touchdowns since being selected by Miami in the second round of the 2014 draft.
