Browns LT Thomas still unsure about NFL future

Cleveland Browns star left tackle Joe Thomas needs a bit more time to decide if he's willing to continue his NFL career.

Thomas saw his consecutive snaps streak end at 10,363 on Oct. 22 after sustaining a season-ending left triceps injury against the Tennessee Titans.

"Had a lot of time to think and spend some time with the family, but not ready definitively to make a decision one way or the other just yet," the 10-time Pro Bowler said on Wednesday after serving as a presenter at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards, per Ohio.com.

Thomas said he was not worried about the triceps tendon as much as nagging injuries to both his knee and back. The 33-year-old said he is aware that the Browns would like to know his plan before free agency begins on March 14.

"I told them I'll make a decision when I'm ready and let them know and give them as much time as I possibly can," Thomas said.

Thomas is one of five players in NFL history to make the Pro Bowl in each of their first 10 seasons in the league, joining Mel Renfro, Merlin Olsen, Barry Sanders and Lawrence Taylor.
