Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Russell Wilson and Drew Brees lead my list of the top 20 quarterback options for Week 16 of the fantasy football season.

If you've reached this point, you are likely in the playoffs and likely in your league championship.

While you shouldn't fix your team, as it isn't broken, you should still keep an eye on favorable matchups and know what to expect if your gunslinger has a brutal matchup.

If you don't have an elite option at the position, be careful about starting those streaming-type plays against defenses like the Jacksonville Jaguars, Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.

New England Patriots veteran Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Ben Roethlisberger round out my top five at the position this week.

You can read about some of my favorite options this week in the descriptions below. A full list of my top 20 rankings is underneath the descriptions.

Here are my Top 20 options at the position this week.

TOP 20 WEEK 16 RANKINGS BELOW

TOP SHELF

New Orleans Saints star Drew Brees is my No. 2 option for Week 16. Brees has back-to-back games with at least 250 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He also gets a date with the Atlanta Falcons this week. The Falcons are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Pittsburgh Steelers star Ben Roethlisberger is my No. 5 option at quarterback. He has a matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16, in a game I expect to be lopsided. Big Ben has thrown multiple touchdown passes in six consecutive games. Although he won't have Antonio Brown against the Buccaneers, he still has the weapons needed for another QB1 performance.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Case Keenum and the Minnesota Vikings face the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 and have an opportunity to win the NFC North crown. Keenum has thrown multiple touchdown passes in six of his last seven starts. The Packers are tied for allowing the third-most passing scores in the NFL. Keenum is my No. 9 option for Week 16.

Jacksonville Jaguars passer Blake Bortles has been one of the best fantasy football quarterbacks in December. Let that sink in. Bortles has accounted for multiple touchdowns in four straight games. He is also coming off of his best performance of the season. In Week 15, the Jaguars gunslinger completed 29-of-29 passes for 326 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. This week he gets a San Francisco 49ers unit allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. The 49ers are also tied for allowing the second-most passing scores to the position. I have Bortles ranked as QB10, making him a starting option in most leagues.

LONGSHOTS

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is ranked No. 15 for me this week, making him a fringe QB1 in deeper leagues. I love Taylor's matchup against the New England Patriots, as I expect him to air-it-out and make plays with his legs. The Patriots have allowed the third-most passing yards and have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Taylor hasn't thrown multiple touchdown passes in a game since Week 9, but he does have two rushing scores in his last four games. He is a great option if you are in a pinch after losing your starting option earlier in the season.

Week 16 Quarterback Rankings.

Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens have a great matchup this week against the Indianapolis Colts. Flacco has not been exciting this season, but he deserves consideration as a streaming option if you have no other choices. I have Flacco at No. 17. The Colts are allowing the fourth-most passing yards in the NFL and are surrendering the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the position. Flacco has thrown for at least 250 yards and accounted for multiple touchdowns in three consecutive starts heading into Week 16.
