Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney wasn't too impressed by Blake Bortles, even though the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback lit up the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Bortles completed 21-of-29 passes for 326 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions on Sunday as the Jaguars secured their first postseason berth since 2007 with a 45-7 rout of the Texans.

Bortles, who was the third overall pick of the 2014 draft, threw for 451 yards and four touchdowns as Jacksonville completed a season sweep of Houston.

When asked if the maligned Bortles is getting better, the 24-year-old Clowney was quick with his assessment.

"He's trash," Clowney said of Bortles, who has thrown for 903 yards with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions in December.

That comment comes on the heels of Bortles leading Jacksonville to a 30-24 win over Seattle, with Seahawks safety Earl Thomas calling him "a subpar quarterback."
