Dec. 14 (UPI) -- All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he isn't coming back to save the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers made the comments at his locker Wednesday. He is coming back from a broken collarbone and will suit up Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
"I'm not coming back to save this team," Rodgers told reporters. "I'm coming back to play quarterback the way I know how to play it & hopefully we all raise the level of our play collectively & find a way to win these three games."
At the same time, Rodgers referenced that the Packers have overcome long playoff odds before.
Green Bay (7-6) began the season 4-1 before their Week 6 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers dropped that Oct. 15 contest and also lost Rodgers for two months.
Green Bay posted a 3-4 record with Brett Hundley as the starting quarterback. The Packers are currently out of the playoff picture and would have to win out to have a shot at the postseason.
"Because we've done it before," Rodgers told reporters. "We did it last year. We were 4-6, and a lot of people counted us out. I saw something that we have 750-to-1 odds to make the playoffs. We've never shied away from those type of circumstances, and we're not going to again."
The Packers' next three games are against the Panthers, the Vikings and the Detroit Lions.
